I understand that you have a problem with the battery not fully charging.
Prior to having it returned and going through the trouble and cost, let's see if I can help get this working properly with you so you can get the results you wanted when first purchasing it. There will be ample time to still use our 60 day guarantee to return it for a full refund of the purchase price if it does not work, or if you decide you don't want it still.
Does this sound like we can try this to get the most positive result?
My thinking is to send our instructions on charging the battery and doing a device reset. This almost always works to allow for the iom2 to charge and work at its best.
I'll include this information below.
If you don't want to try this solution, the return process will be simple enough to explain, and then we'll just have to wait for the shipment to arrive and be tested. I can explain this in the next email.

iom2 NOT CHARGING
With regard to charging your iom2, are you using the charging cable that came with the device? This charging cable (black with 3-leaf logo) is specifically made for it. While it is a standard size, the iom2 USB cable has a little longer male end (to insert into the iom2). Other standard USB cables may work depending on the length of the plug, but we can not guarantee that other cables will work.
Additionally, you may also try other USB ports on your computer to rule out the possibility that there is an issue with the port. This is rare but sometimes has been a solution for some.
We recommend that you do NOT use an adapter and a wall outlet to charge the iom2 with AC power, although it will work doing so. The issues reported which resulted in battery failure are more prone when using AC power charging. Please use a computer via a USB port to charge the device.
iom2 RESET
Based on the information you have provided, it appears that the iom2 needs to be reset.
Please plug the iom2 in to charge using the black Unyte USB cable (has a 3-leaf logo on the USB end)..
Then try inserting a small pin or paper clip into the tiny hole beside where the USB cable connects. Inside is a tiny reset button. Pushing it very gently and releasing will reset the iom2 and cause it to turn on and take charge again. Ensure you hear or feel a tiny click when you do this and then release the button. This will ensure the reset button is being pushed. Do not hold the button in or press too hard as it can jam or break the reset and device. Once you do this, leave the iom2 plugged in to charge for 3-6 hours. Then, you should be all set to enjoy our meditations with the iom2.
As mentioned above, please ensure that you are using the charging cable that came with the device. This charging cable (black with 3-leaf logo) is specifically made for it. Once the process is complete. Is the iom2 charged and showing power?

Hi Sophie!
I'm quite sorry to hear that you are having these problems. I'm wondering if there is something in my approach and interpretation of the issue which is keeping you/us from a properly working device.
I'm going to put the return instructions below, but first, I'd really like to help you get the results you want. Maybe this step backwards allows us to build communications and I can give you some extra coaching tips you would not otherwise receive.
Did you fully charge the iom2 with your computer when you first received it, or did you start using it with the power that was in the battery when you received it? I can see that you did have some usage and hopefully you were getting to know the program. This is one thing to help me better understand.
I realize that you have attempted to reset it and charge, but there are times that it is a simple sequence of steps or something that a second try will bring the positive reset and a fully working unit.
I'm hopeful that you can try it again and just give it about 2 hours and see what the result is. Have the usb cable plugged into the socket first, then do the reset. It should provide an indication of power, but you'll need to leave it plugged in to make sure the battery can charge.
Please see if you can do the reset one more time prior to shipping the iom2 back for a cancellation and refund. It is the weekend, so it can't ship today/tonight anyway.

P.S. RETURN PROCESS
This is the normal procedure.
You will want to package the iom2 in the orginal box with the ear clip and the usb cord and the small boxes for them.
You'll want to package it well.
If you do not get it working, mark it as a RETURN and defective. If it is working and you simply decide this is not for you, just mark it RETURN.
The least expensive way to return is likely via Global Post. We do like UPS WorldWide Express as that is a safe method which was only $21.69 in your case.

Once we receive the iom2 device, I will personally test it. If it is defective, we will reimburse the return shipping costs along with the purchase price cost. If it is not defective, we will just refund 100% of the purchase price.
